Handmade Cards & My 100th Post Giveaway!

Wouldn't it be great to open your mailbox today to find a "just because" card from a family member or friend? And wouldn't it be equally great to make someone else's day by sending them a card? I think so! While store bought cards are nice, I really prefer the handmade variety. Keep reading to find out how you can win these ones!

Cards can be as simple or as complicated as you like and can be made with a variety of materials. Just start with folded cardstock and add paper, stickers, chipboard, ribbon and any other embellishments. Card making is great for using up leftovers and scraps because you only need small amounts of things.

Not sure where to start? A quick Google image search will yields tons of inspiration. Or visit Martha Stewart's Card Making Center, full of step-by-step instructions for make all types of cards. With minimal supplies and a couple of hours you could be making cards like these...

Or you could go the Etsy route and let other's make the cards for you - you still get the handmade effect!
